Emergency Preparedness and Response, Division Director
STRAC has a legislative mandate to develop and implement a regional EMS/Hospital Disaster Plan, which includes organizing and consolidating emergency preparedness planning for the region’s responders, assisting with training, plans development, and coordinating resources for more efficient disaster operations. The Emergency Preparedness and Response Division Director is a professional possessing in-depth knowledge and experience in overseeing disaster and emergency management planning, mitigation, response, and recovery needs of the emergency healthcare system within Trauma Service Area P.
Emergency Medical Task Force Coordinator (EMTF-8): Reports to Division Director, Emergency Preparedness and Response
STRAC facilitates the regional implementation of the Emergency Medical Task Force (EMTF) concept, functionality, and standardization of EMTF initiatives. The Coordinator will liaison with stakeholders and the Statewide Project Manager to support program implementation, drafting and executing MOU/MOAs, ordering and stocking of equipment and coordination of exercises and training.
Crisis Response Clinician, The Center for Health Care Services
These are Center for Health Care Services (CHCS) positions within a STRAC/STCC run program.
Crisis Response Clinicians (CRC) work in collaboration with public safety
agencies to include law enforcement and Emergency Medical Services (EMS) under the guidance of The
Southwest Texas Regional Advisory Council (STRAC). As part of this team, the Crisis Response
Clinician will respond to 9-1-1 mental health-related calls. The CRC serves as the subject matter
expert in triage, assessment, de-escalation, and care navigation. Provides direct services for
consumers, and completes associated case management documentation for the consumer and program.
Works within a multidisciplinary team to provide an array of direct (face-to-face) and indirect
clinical services to adults in a person-centered, trauma-informed, individualized focused approach
utilizing evidenced-based practices delivered to fidelity. These services are delivered in multiple
types of settings including field-based services in the individual’s home or other identified
locations as well as clinic-based services. Individuals served may have multi-system involvement
such as Criminal Justice, Child, and Adult Welfare, Veterans, Homelessness, etc.

Edwards County EMS in Rocksprings, TX is hiring personnel for EMS Coverage
We are looking for On-Call as well as PRN ECAs, EMTs, AEMTs, and Paramedics for Edwards County EMS
in Rocksprings, TX. On-Call Positions will respond when toned out and applicants must live within a
15 minute drive distance from the EMS Station in Rocksprings. On-Call Shifts available in 12 hour
blocks, and they run from 0600-1800 and 1800-0600hrs. PRN Positions are available in 12 or 24 hr
Blocks and they are for EMTs, AEMTs/EMT-I, and Paramedics.
Pay is hourly, and sleeping quarters are available for personnel needing to commute to Rocksprings
from afar.
